Sickles (Scythes): All 5 ListedIron Soul: Dungeon · Updated 2026-09-04

What this page helps you decide: whether to chase a sickle at all, given that nobody publishes what one costs to forge.

The sickle class is small, flat and oddly undocumented. Five weapons carry the sickle tag in the weapon data template and four of them share exactly the same published base attack of 13, which means there is no internal ranking to speak of. The fifth, Kiss of Death, has no published value. The class is also the clearest case in the game of a naming split: the data calls it sickle, while patch coverage and the player community call the same weapons scythes, and one redeemable code is named SCYTHEWEAPON. Update 10.5 is reported to have introduced the scythe family with the description that it blends heavy and light characteristics, and to have restricted its forging to a single location. None of that appears in the forge cost table, which lists nine recipes and does not include this class at all.

What the update coverage adds, and how far to trust it

Two third-party sites independently date the arrival of the scythe family to an update at the end of July, describing it as combining heavy and light traits, and one adds that scythes can only be forged in a specific late-game area reached after level 28. Neither wiki carries any of that. This is a recurring pattern for this game: the wikis stopped updating in early August while the game kept shipping, so anything from the most recent month lives only on sites that do not show their working. We are recording the claim and marking it as reported rather than confirmed, which is the honest position when two sites agree with each other and no primary source speaks at all.

The class with the most missing data

Add up what is not published for sickles and the list is longer than what is. There is no forge ore cost and no forge success chance. There is no crit chance target, because the sub-stats page gives targets for light, staff, heavy, gauntlet and bow and stops. There are no skill names: the six-basics-and-three-ultimates structure is documented for light, heavy and staff only, and the sickle skill slots on the other wiki are unfilled labels. There is no scroll family. What we do have is five names, four identical attack values, and a naming dispute. Anyone publishing a confident sickle guide is filling those gaps from somewhere they are not showing you.

The rumoured sixth sickle

A weapon called Seraph Grace circulates as the strongest scythe of the current season. Its only evidence is a video title, which is the weakest form of evidence we accept for anything, and it does not appear in the weapon template. It is also worth separating from Seraph, which is a real light weapon at 9 base attack and a different item entirely. Similar names in this game are a trap: the roster already contains Betrayer at 6 and Betrayal at 12.5 as two distinct light weapons. Until Seraph Grace appears in a data source we can read, it stays off this table, and any list that ranks it is ranking a rumour.

Step-by-Step

  1. Expect the same 13 base attack whichever of the four published sickles you end up with. Twist Indigo, Hell Emerald, Harvest Evil and Burning Hell are identical on the only number anyone publishes.
  2. Do not plan an ore budget for this class, because there is not one to plan. The forge table prices light, staff, heavy, bow and gauntlet recipes plus four armour recipes, and stops there.
  3. Search under both names when you are reading elsewhere. The data says sickle, the patch notes say scythe, and pages that use only one of the two will look like they are missing entries.
  4. Treat Kiss of Death as unknown rather than weak. Its stored value is an unfilled default, exactly like the eight other blanks across the roster.
  5. Do not expect a dedicated scroll. The fourteen scrolls split into sword, heavy, magic, monk and bow families, and there is no sickle family among them.

Assembled from the forge page, the sub-stats page, the second wiki's weapon skill list and the scroll template. The sickle row is empty in four columns out of four, which is why this class has no real guide anywhere.

FAQ

Are sickles and scythes the same thing?

Yes, as far as we can tell. The weapon data template tags the class sickle, while patch coverage and the community call them scythes, and one redeemable code is named SCYTHEWEAPON. We use both names on the page so that either search finds it.

What does a sickle cost to forge?

No source publishes it. The forge cost table carries nine recipes covering light, staff, heavy, bow, gauntlet and four armour pieces, and the sickle class is simply absent from it.

Which sickle is the best?

Four of the five share exactly 13 base attack, so on published data there is no best. Kiss of Death is unranked because its attack value is an unfilled default rather than a real figure.
