Weapon Tier List by Base Attack
What this page helps you decide: which units deserve your next upgrade resources, and how much confidence to place in the ranking.
Most tier lists for this game rank weapons that do not exist in any data source, and none of them says where their ordering comes from. This one is built on two inputs only, both of which you can check. The first is the base attack figure attached to each of the 112 weapons in the official-branded wiki's weapon template. The second is the small number of explicit judgements the community wiki's FAQ makes, which are class-level rather than weapon-level: it calls light swords the strongest class in the game on value grounds, and it names one heavy weapon it does not want you taking into the Endless Tower. That is the whole evidence base. There is no measured damage per second here, because no source publishes one and we have not run the tests ourselves. Nine weapons cannot be ranked at all, and the reason they cannot is more interesting than any placement on this page.

How this tier list is built
Placements come from one measurable input and one documented opinion, and nothing else. The measurable input is the base attack value stored against each weapon in the official-branded wiki's weapon data template, which is the only source that carries a number for every weapon rather than for a hand-picked few. The documented opinion is the community wiki FAQ, which makes exactly two judgements specific enough to act on: light swords are the best value class in the game because their attack speed offsets their lower raw numbers, and Crimson is a poor choice for the Endless Tower. We fold those two statements in where they apply and cite them in the row. What is deliberately absent is measured damage. Nobody publishes a damage per second figure for this game, we have not run the tests, and a tier list that invents them would be worse than no tier list at all. That also means every placement here is a claim about published base attack and stated class economics, not a claim about what wins fights. A weapon can rank C on this page and still be the right pick if it is the one you can actually afford to forge at your current ore tier.
Version and evidence limits
Both wikis that carry weapon data have gone quiet while the game has not. The official-branded wiki's last content edit anywhere on the site was 2026-08-03 and its weapon template was last touched 2026-07-31, while the Roblox platform reports the game itself was updated 2026-09-03. Anything added in the last month of Season 3 is therefore missing from the roster this page ranks, and we would rather say so than pretend the table is complete. Fourteen weapon names circulate on other ranking pages that do not exist anywhere in the weapon template: Ghost Face, Ghost Crystal, Ghost Hand, Yokozuna, Fast Blade, Fiery Iron Sword, Heavy Sword, Sacred Reaper Scythe, High Stakes, Spade Ace, Royal Flush, Queen Dice, Rogue Pistols and Seraph Grace. Some of those look like Season 3 additions the frozen wikis never recorded, and the card-themed group in particular fits the Royal Circus and Magic Royal branding of the current season. Others look like category names mistaken for weapon names. Two further Season 3 weapons are reported without agreement: a gun-class weapon called Rogue Pistols on one site and Dual Pistols on another, and a scythe called Seraph Grace whose only evidence is a video title. Seraph Grace is not the same item as Seraph, the light sword at 9 base attack that does appear in the template. Until any of these turn up in a data source we can read, they are rumours and we are not ranking rumours.
Step-by-Step
- Read base attack as a starting point, not as damage. The finished number on your weapon is base attack multiplied through the ore multiplier you forged with, your blessing level and whatever sub-stats rolled on it.
- Pick the class before the weapon. Ore cost per attempt runs from 3 for a light weapon to 18 for a bow or gauntlet, so the class you choose sets your whole material budget for that tier.
- Treat the nine blank entries as unknown rather than weak. A stored value of 1 in this template is an unfilled field, and every one of the nine sits on a weapon that outside rankings place near the top.
- Ignore any list that ranks a weapon we do not carry. Fourteen names in circulation do not appear in the weapon template at all, and we say which ones below rather than quietly adopting them.
Data Tables
| Tier | Unit | Role | Why it ranks here | Evidence / source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | Betrayal | Light weapon | Top of the class the FAQ rates as the best value in the game, at a third of the ore cost of a heavy | 12.5 base attack; class judgement quoted from the FAQ — Weapon template plus community wiki FAQ |
| S | Cinder Breaker | Heavy weapon | The only other weapon in the game published at 16 or above | 16 base attack, class tag heavy — Weapon data template |
| S | Heaven Fall | Heavy weapon | Highest published base attack of all 112 weapons in the roster | 16.5 base attack, class tag heavy — Weapon data template |
| A | Determination | Heavy weapon | Same 15 band, reachable at the same 16-ore cost as any other heavy | 15 base attack — Weapon data template |
| A | Hellforged Blade | Light weapon | Second best published light value and the cheapest route to a double-digit weapon at 3 ore per attempt | 12 base attack — Weapon data template |
| A | Iron Revenant | Heavy weapon | Also 15, listed to show how flat the top of the heavy class is | 15 base attack — Weapon data template |
| A | Lucifer | Staff | Highest published staff value, matching the best light weapon while costing ten ore per attempt at 80 percent | 12.5 base attack, class tag staff — Weapon data template |
| A | World Ender | Heavy weapon | Part of the six-way tie at the 15 mark and the only one of those six that outside rankings also single out | 15 base attack — Weapon data template |
| B | Crimson | Heavy weapon | Published at 13, but the FAQ names it specifically as a weapon not to bring into the Endless Tower | 13 base attack plus an explicit warning in the FAQ — Weapon template plus community wiki FAQ |
| B | Crown Claw | Fist weapon | All four fist weapons share one published value, so the class has no internal ranking at all | 13 base attack, as do Volcano, Leaf Shock and Icy Touch — Weapon data template |
| B | Dragon Dual Blades | Light weapon | Upper middle of the light class and one of six lights at 11 | 11 base attack — Weapon data template |
| B | Night Monarch | Staff | Joint second in the staff class, one of six staves at 12 | 12 base attack — Weapon data template |
| B | Skull Axe | Heavy weapon | Mid heavy band, one of five weapons at 14 | 14 base attack — Weapon data template |
| B | Twist Indigo | Sickle | Four of the five sickles share the same published value, so the class is likewise flat | 13 base attack, as do Hell Emerald, Harvest Evil and Burning Hell — Weapon data template |
| C | Pale Crystal | Staff | Lowest published staff value, costing ten ore for less than a quarter of the class leader | 3 base attack — Weapon data template |
| C | War Hammer | Heavy weapon | Lowest published heavy value by a wide margin, at 16 ore per attempt it is the worst ore-to-attack trade in the game | 3 base attack against a class median above 13 — Weapon data template |
| Not ranked | Astral Rastar | Staff | Attack field unfilled, yet outside rankings place it at the very top | No published base attack — Weapon data template |
| Not ranked | Horn Spire | Light weapon | Attack field unfilled, the only light weapon besides SilverAsh in that state | No published base attack — Weapon data template |
| Not ranked | Kiss of Death | Sickle | The one sickle that breaks the flat 13 pattern, and only because its value is missing | No published base attack — Weapon data template |
| Not ranked | SilverAsh | Light weapon | Season 1 store exclusive, which is a plausible reason the forge-pool attack field was never filled | No published base attack; named as a Season 1 store item — Weapon template plus Seasons page |
| Not ranked | Sky Flare | Bow, the only one in the game | Attack field is unfilled, and the bow forge recipe is gated behind relics rather than ore alone | No published base attack — Weapon data template |
| Not ranked | Thundercrag | Heavy weapon | Attack field unfilled with no season exclusivity recorded to explain it | No published base attack — Weapon data template |
| Not ranked | Tribe Totem | Heavy weapon | Season 1 store exclusive with no published attack value | No published base attack; named as a Season 1 store item — Weapon template plus Seasons page |
| Not ranked | Wyvern Bloom | Staff | Attack field unfilled with no season exclusivity recorded to explain it | No published base attack — Weapon data template |
| Not ranked | Zone Explosion | Staff | Season 1 store exclusive, written Zone of Explosion on the Seasons page | No published base attack; named as a Season 1 store item — Weapon template plus Seasons page |

Tips & Notes
- Base attack spreads much less than it looks. Ignoring the blanks, the whole roster runs from 3 to 16.5, and 29 of the 35 heavy weapons with a published value sit between 10 and 16, which is a narrower band than any tier letter suggests.
- The highest published value in the game, 16.5 on Heaven Fall, is only 32 percent above the highest light value of 12.5 on Betrayal, while a heavy costs more than five times the ore per attempt.
- Where does the top of each class sit? Betrayal at 12.5 for light, Heaven Fall at 16.5 for heavy, Lucifer at 12.5 for staff, a four-way tie at 13 for both fists and sickles, and nothing published at all for the single bow.
- The nine weapons with no published attack are SilverAsh, Horn Spire, Tribe Totem, Thundercrag, Zone Explosion, Wyvern Bloom, Astral Rastar, Kiss of Death and Sky Flare. Three of those nine are Season 1 store exclusives, which is a plausible reason their fields were never filled: they never entered the normal forge pool.
FAQ
What is the best unit in Iron Soul: Dungeon?
Betrayal, Cinder Breaker, Heaven Fall currently sit in S tier under the evidence and version limits stated on this page.
Does rarity decide the Iron Soul: Dungeon tier list?
No. Rarity describes acquisition, not automatically damage, range, utility or cost efficiency; every placement needs separate performance evidence.
Where does the top of each class sit?
Betrayal at 12.5 for light, Heaven Fall at 16.5 for heavy, Lucifer at 12.5 for staff, a four-way tie at 13 for both fists and sickles, and nothing published at all for the single bow.
