What this page helps you decide: whether to spend ore on the only bow in the game before you have a relic in hand.

There is exactly one bow. Sky Flare carries the only bow class tag in a roster of 112 weapons, and its base attack field is unfilled, so the single most basic fact about the single weapon in this class is not published anywhere. What is published is everything around it. The forge recipe costs eighteen ore per attempt, the same as a gauntlet, with the same relic-dependent chance of 5, 19 or 52 percent. The sub-stats page gives bows the joint highest crit chance target in the game at 90 to 100 percent. The scroll list contains exactly one bow scroll, called Bow Scroll: Ghost. And the season notes record that a bow was the headline prize on the Season 2 luck wheel, with stats described as unknown at the time of writing, which is very likely this same weapon.

Why the only bow is also one of the nine blanks

Nine weapons across the whole roster store an unfilled attack default, and Sky Flare is one of them. Three of the nine have a documented reason: SilverAsh, Tribe Totem and Zone of Explosion were Season 1 store exclusives and never entered the ordinary forge pool the template describes. Sky Flare has a different but equally plausible explanation, because the season notes describe a bow as the main prize on the Season 2 luck wheel and say its stats were unknown. A weapon that arrives through a wheel rather than through the forge pool is exactly the kind of entry that would never get a forge-pool attack value filled in. That is our inference from two pages rather than a statement either page makes, and we are labelling it as such.

Three separate tables confirm the class is real

It would be easy to dismiss a single-entry class as a data error. Three independent places say otherwise. The forge cost table has a Bow recipe with its own ore cost and relic-gated chance. The crit chance table has a Bow row with a 90 to 100 percent target. The scroll template has a bow-scroll family with one member. None of those three would exist for a class that was not implemented. What is missing everywhere is the skill list: the six-basics-and-three-ultimates structure is published for light, heavy and staff only, and the bow skill slots on the second wiki are unfilled labels rather than names. That is nine skill names for this class alone that exist in the game and in no public source.

What a bow costs against everything else

Set the numbers side by side and the bow is in a category of its own. A light weapon costs three ore per success. A staff costs 12.5 once its 80 percent chance is priced in. A heavy weapon costs sixteen. The most expensive armour recipe, a heavy breastplate, costs twenty-two. A bow with a legendary relic costs about 35, with a common relic about 95, and with no relic about 360. Even in the best case it is the most expensive item in the game to forge, and in the worst case it costs more than sixteen heavy breastplates. That is the strongest possible argument for treating the relic hunt as a prerequisite rather than an optimisation.

Step-by-Step

  1. Do not attempt the bow forge without a relic unless ore is meaningless to you. At the 5 percent rate the expected spend for one bow is 360 ore.
  2. Farm the Endless Tower for a relic first. A common relic cuts the expected spend to about 95 ore and a legendary relic to about 35.
  3. Build for 90 to 100 percent crit chance if you commit to the class. That is the same target the sub-stats page gives heavy weapons and the highest in the game.
  4. Expect a single scroll option. Bow Scroll: Ghost is the only bow-family scroll among the fourteen in the scroll list, and its effect is unpublished like all the others.
  5. Treat any published Sky Flare damage figure with suspicion. The attack field is blank in the data, so a number quoted elsewhere is either measured in game without being shown, or invented.

FAQ

How many bows are in the game?

One. Sky Flare is the only weapon in the roster of 112 carrying the bow class tag, and its base attack field is unfilled, so no published damage figure for it exists.

How do I get Sky Flare?

The forge, at 18 ore per attempt with a chance of 5, 19 or 52 percent depending on your relic. The seasons page separately records a bow as the main prize on the Season 2 luck wheel, which may be the same weapon, though neither page says so directly.

Is the bow worth the ore?

With a legendary relic it costs about 35 ore in expectation, which is more than any other recipe but not absurd. Without a relic it is about 360, which is more than sixteen heavy breastplates, and no published damage figure exists to justify that.
