What this page helps you decide: Whether to chase the race two community sources rank at opposite ends of their lists, when its headline stat has no published effect at all.

Night Elf is one of three races tied for the rarest published draw rate in Iron Soul: Dungeon at 0.20%. It carries six bonus lines: Luck 100%, Attack Bonus 10%, Critical Damage 10%, Skill Damage 10%, Movement Speed 20% and Health Bonus 15% at one star, each exactly doubled at three stars. That 200% Luck at three stars is the single largest number anywhere on the race table, more than three times the next biggest figure. At 0.20% a Night Elf hunt averages 500 rerolls, needs 347 for an even chance and 1,151 before failure drops under 10%, and three stars averages 1,500. Two community sources rank this race very differently, and the reason appears to be that headline Luck number, whose effect nobody has published.

All six Night Elf lines, star by star

Luck runs 100%, 150%, 200%. Attack Bonus, Critical Damage and Skill Damage each run 10%, 15%, 20%. Movement Speed runs 20%, 30%, 40%. Health Bonus runs 15%, 22%, 30%, the one rounding case on this race, from 22.5. Set the Luck line aside and what remains is a balanced but modest mythical: three damage lines at 20% each and one survivability line at 30%, which is broadly what Angel gives at a rate 50% more generous. The case for Night Elf therefore rests almost entirely on a stat that has no published definition, which is an uncomfortable place for a 500 reroll hunt to stand.

The largest number on the table, attached to an undocumented stat

Luck appears on exactly three races: Night Elf at 100 to 200, Lucifer at 50 to 100 and Archdruid at 20 to 40. It appears nowhere else in the published documentation. The official sub-stats page lists every stat that gear, pets and scrolls can roll, and Luck is not among them. So there is no published statement of whether it improves drop rates, forge results, wheel outcomes or something else entirely, and no published cap or diminishing return. A three star Night Elf gives twice as much of it as any other race, which means it is either the best race in the game or a large number attached to a small effect. Nobody outside the developer can currently tell you which.

Two community sources rank it at opposite ends

A community wiki question-and-answer page names Night Elf as the strongest race in the game, ahead of Fairy and Sorcerer. A third-party tier list places it in its third tier, below Lucifer, Demon, Fairy, Sorcerer and Archdruid, and explains its method as damage per second first with rarity used only to break ties. Both are opinions rather than measurements, and they are not really in conflict: a list that scores damage will rank Night Elf low, and a source that credits the Luck line will rank it first. Neither can be checked, because the stat at the centre of the disagreement is undocumented. We are reporting the disagreement rather than resolving it.

Step-by-Step

  1. Accept the cost before you start. 347 rerolls for an even chance is more than twelve Battle Pass seasons at 28 rerolls each.
  2. Read the four damage and survivability lines as the reliable part: 20% attack, 20% critical damage, 20% skill damage and 30% health at three stars.
  3. Do not price in the Luck line. It is not one of the stats documented on the official sub-stats page, so its effect is unknown regardless of how large the number looks.
  4. Compare against Demon before committing. Both draw at 0.20%, but Demon carries seven lines and its lowest damage figure at three stars is higher than any of Night Elf's.

Tips & Notes

  • If you draw Night Elf, keep it. Nothing about the unknown Luck effect makes the other five lines worse than a common race.
  • Any guide that tells you exactly what Luck does is going beyond every published source we could find, including the official sub-stats page.

FAQ

How rare is Night Elf in Iron Soul: Dungeon?

0.20% per reroll, tied with Demon and Lucifer for the rarest on the table. That averages 500 rerolls, with even odds at 347 and 90% confidence at 1,151.

Is Night Elf the best race?

One community wiki says yes, a third-party tier list places it fifth or lower. Its ranking depends entirely on the Luck stat, whose effect is not published anywhere.

What does 200% Luck do at three stars?

Unknown. Luck is absent from the official sub-stats page that documents every gear, pet and scroll stat, so there is no published effect to report.
