What this page helps you decide: whether the 28,000 power figure you have read about is something to build toward, and what to bring when the official wiki refuses to give a target.

Oathlost Castle is the third world and, in the official wiki's own words, the point where your character enters the endgame. It is also the map with the widest gap between what third-party sites publish and what the official wiki does. Three independent sites report a 28,000 battle power gate checked at the Castle Trial. The official wiki gives no power figure for this or any map, marks its own Tier 3 section as work in progress, and argues that power is the wrong measure entirely. Both positions are recorded here, along with the spelling problem that makes searching for this place harder than it should be: the same castle is written Oathlost, Oathless and Oathland in different sources, including twice within official pages.

The 28,000 figure, and how much weight it deserves

Three sites give it: one describes it as a cross-checked entry gate, one lists it as the castle's power requirement, and a third repeats it in a beginner guide updated at the end of August. That is three independent restatements, which is unusually strong agreement for this game, and it is enough for us to record the number. What it is not is an official figure. The official progression guide, which would be the place to publish it, contains no power values at all and its Tier 3 section is flagged as unfinished. The reasonable reading is that 28,000 is a real in-game check that players have observed, and that the official wiki simply does not document this world yet - two facts which do not contradict each other.

Why the official wiki argues against power targets

This is worth understanding rather than dismissing, because it changes how you prepare. The wiki's position is that battle power reflects an average of your character and is significantly overtuned for certain pieces of equipment, so two characters at the same power can be very different in practice. Level, by contrast, is what the game actually locks skills and gear behind. The practical translation is that if you have hit a reported power gate but your level is low, you will get in and then find the content unplayable - the same failure mode the guide describes for clearing Frozen Valley under level 20, which it says is possible but pointless.

What lives here is not published

The Beastiary lists three bosses without saying which map they belong to: Wereworld, Executioner and Dullahan. Because the official Tier 3 guide is marked as work in progress, it is tempting to assume those three belong here. We are not going to do that. It is an inference with no supporting source, and a guide that presents inference as fact is exactly what you cannot check. What is documented is that this castle carries the same five difficulties and four-player cap as the other main worlds, that Update 9 added it, and that a Trial difficulty acts as the checkpoint the reported power gate is tested at.

Step-by-Step

  1. Finish the Frozen Valley forge order before thinking about this map. The tier before it is explicitly framed as the preparation for this one.
  2. If you use the reported 28,000 power figure, use it as a checkpoint rather than a lock. Three separate third-party sites give the same number and attach it to the Castle Trial, but no official source carries it.
  3. Weigh the official counter-argument, which is specific: skills and gear are level-locked, battle power is an average that overshoots badly on some equipment, and the official guides therefore give level recommendations instead of power targets.
  4. Bring Corrode runes. The official rune guidance recommends Corrode on the weapon and helmet for endgame characters, with Frost or Burn on armour, and separately notes Corrode becomes worth considering from Tier 3.
  5. Consider the Earthmaw with Aquamarine recipe at two to one if you cannot handle this castle's Trial Hell mode. The official forging page describes it as opening a dangerous large loot pool but capable of producing early mythic Tier 3 equipment.
  6. Do not plan around a drop table. The third-party page that covers this castle most fully states there is no complete public table for it, and neither wiki has one.

Tips & Notes

  • Painstone armour is difficult to assemble in Frozen Valley, but the official guide notes a lucky roll on it can remain usable all the way into this castle - which is the argument for persisting with it rather than settling.
  • Search both spellings. Oathless Castle and Oathlost Castle return different result sets, and one site openly documents that the official place roster and the update coverage disagree.
  • Update 9 is the patch that introduced this world, alongside the Companions system and the second race slot, dated 25 May 2026 by one log.

FAQ

How much power do you need for Oathlost Castle?

Three third-party sites report 28,000 battle power, tested at the Castle Trial. No official source publishes a power requirement for this or any map, and the official wiki argues that character level is the more reliable measure.

Is it Oathlost or Oathless Castle?

Oathlost is the spelling used by the official progression guide and dungeon listing. Oathless appears throughout update coverage, and Oathland turns up in a beginner guide and, as Oath-land, inside an official guide page.

Which bosses are in Oathlost Castle?

Not published. The Beastiary lists Wereworld, Executioner and Dullahan without assigning them to a map, and the official Tier 3 guide is unfinished. Assuming those three belong here is a guess, so we do not print it as fact.
