The Icy Dragonet is the best documented pet in this game, which is mostly an accident of timing: it was the Season 1 store pet, and Season 1 is closed and therefore fully written up. It cost 8,000 Season 1 Vouchers and could be bought without limit as long as you had vouchers, which made it the one pet a player could deliberately farm toward. It also appears as the worked example in the official enhancement documentation. Today the store route is closed, but a second route survives: Cinder eventually gives you an Ice Dragon's Egg and points you at Ali to hatch it. Like every pet here, its attack and health values are not published.
Three phases, and no published requirements for them
The official pet template gives every pet a Starter form, a Phase 1 and a Phase 2 marked as the maximum evolution, and the Icy Dragonet is listed first among the six. What the template does not give is the requirement to move between them: the evolution level fields contain the text Reach Lv. with no number, and one field is filled with question marks. That is the source being incomplete rather than our research being incomplete, and it is worth stating clearly because it means nobody can tell you what level a Phase 2 Icy Dragonet needs. The same is true for all six pets.
Why this pet is the example in every official demonstration
The community wiki's pets page uses the Icy Dragonet twice: once to demonstrate enhancement, taking one from level 1 to level 7 until the Broken Scales ran out, and once to demonstrate ascension, consuming a second one to take the first from ascension 1 to 2. Those two examples are the closest thing to a cost curve published for the pet system, and they tell you two useful things. First, seven enhancement levels is roughly one player's stock of cave materials, so plan several courtyard trips per pet. Second, ascension requires you to acquire the same pet twice, which for a pet with an unlimited voucher price was realistic in Season 1 and is much harder now.
One name, two spellings, three egg names
The official template spells it Icy Dragonet. One third-party site writes Ice Dragonet, and a third names an Ice Dragon Egg as an egg type. The NPC documentation calls Cinder's gift an Ice Dragon's Egg. None of those sources explicitly states that the Ice Dragon's Egg hatches into the Icy Dragonet - it is the obvious reading, and every part of it is documented except the connection itself, which nobody has written down. We use the official spelling for the pet, repeat the egg names as their sources give them, and flag the missing link rather than closing it with an assumption.
Step-by-Step
- Take Cinder's Ice Dragon's Egg to Ali when you get it. That is the route that still exists, though no source publishes what triggers the gift.
- Do not chase the Season 1 store route. It cost 8,000 Season 1 Vouchers, and Season 1 Vouchers came from Dragon's Grave and the Wheel of Luck - both Season 1 systems, with the dungeon itself reported as removed.
- Enhance rather than wait. Enhancement consumes Abandoned Courtyard materials plus Gold, has no failure chance, and is the only pet progression you fully control.
- Budget more materials than you expect. The official worked example takes an Icy Dragonet from level 1 to level 7 and finishes with the player's Broken Scales exhausted.
- Save a second Icy Dragonet for ascension rather than sending it on an expedition. The official ascension example uses exactly that - one Icy Dragonet consumed to raise another from ascension 1 to 2.
- Ignore any stat figures you find for it. The official pet template's attack and health fields are empty and its evolution requirements read Reach Lv. with no number attached.

The 8,000 voucher price is from the community wiki's pets page and is the only published pet price in Season 1 store currency.
Tips & Notes
- Season 1 Vouchers had two sources, Dragon's Grave and the Wheel of Luck, and both belong to a closed season - which is why guides quoting the 8,000 price are not describing a plan you can follow.
- Enhancement never fails, unlike equipment blessing which drops to 80% at +4 and 20% by +12, so material spent on a pet is never lost.
- Update 11.2 raised pet damage generally, so a pet enhanced before that patch is worth more now than the guides written before it suggest.
