What this page helps you decide: Whether it is worth spending a reroll now or banking it, and which of the five published reroll sources is actually worth your time.

A Race Reroll is the only way to change the race in your slot, and the official race template lists four ways to get one plus a fifth that every source agrees on. They are not equal. The Battle Pass is the single largest published block at 28 rerolls per season, split 11 on the free track and 17 on premium. Codes are the fastest, with weekend codes handing out 3 each and membership milestone codes handing out 10. The Wheel of Luck pays 5 rerolls at a 1.00% spin rate, which works out to about one reroll every seven days on free spins alone. Robux purchases and the Season Store round out the list. This page gives the yield of each source, the mechanics that decide whether a reroll does anything at all, and the arithmetic behind one popular piece of advice that does not survive a recount.

The five published sources, ranked by what they actually yield

The official race template lists four routes: Robux, the Wheel of Luck, the Season Store and the Season Battle Pass. Codes are the fifth, confirmed on the community race rolling page and by every guide site we checked. Ranked by published yield, the Battle Pass leads at 28 per season. Milestone codes come next at 10 apiece, and weekend codes at 3 apiece are frequent enough to add up. The Wheel of Luck is fifth in practice despite paying a 5-reroll block, because that block only lands on 1.00% of spins. The Season Store is the hardest to plan around: the official wording is that rerolls have a chance to appear there, bought with season vouchers, so there is no fixed quantity to budget.

The official page contradicts itself, and we are not fixing it quietly

On the same official template, the headings for the store and pass routes read Season 2 Store and Season 2 Battle Pass, while the body text under them reads Season 1 Store and S1 Vouchers. We are reproducing that as it stands rather than picking one. It matters because the 11 free and 17 premium split, and the voucher currency named alongside it, may describe an earlier season than the heading claims. Treat 28 as the published block size and check the pass in your current season before you plan a hunt around it.

Why saving up 20 rerolls changes nothing

One guide site advises banking 20 or more rerolls before spending, and states that 20 rolls give roughly a 4% shot at the top tier, meaning Lucifer or Demon at 0.20% each. Recompute it from those same inputs: the two races combine to 0.40%, and the chance of at least one hit in 20 independent rolls is 1 minus 0.996 to the power of 20, which is 7.70%, not 4%. We cannot reproduce their figure in either direction, so we do not cite it. The deeper problem is that the advice has no effect regardless of which number is right. Rolls are independent, so 20 rolls spent one at a time over a month carry exactly the same odds as 20 spent in one sitting. Banking rerolls is a convenience, not a strategy.

Slot mechanics decide whether a reroll is wasted

Three outcomes are documented. Roll a different race with the slot unlocked and it replaces what you had. Roll a different race with the slot locked and nothing happens at all, which is a wasted reroll. Roll the race you already have and it gains a star, up to a ceiling of three, after which further duplicates do nothing. Update 9 added a second race slot, which changes the calculus: with two slots you can hold a keeper in one and hunt in the other. That is the whole mechanic, and it explains why the lock button is the most important control on the screen rather than the reroll button.

Step-by-Step

  1. Check your slot state before you spend anything. A locked slot cannot be replaced by a different race, and rolling one while locked returns the message that your race slots are locked and the race was not changed, burning the reroll for nothing.
  2. Claim the code rerolls first, because they cost nothing. Weekend codes have been paying 3 rerolls each and membership milestone codes have paid 10, which makes a single milestone code worth more than a third of a free Battle Pass track.
  3. Work the Battle Pass next: 11 rerolls on the free track and 17 on premium, 28 in total for a season. Against a 0.20% race that whole season block is a 5.5% chance of a specific mythical, and a 22.4% chance of any of the four.
  4. Treat the Wheel of Luck as background income rather than a plan. It pays 5 rerolls on a 1.00% spin, so 100 spins average 5 rerolls, and the three free daily tickets average 0.15 rerolls per day, or roughly one reroll a week.
  5. Once you land a race you want to keep, lock the slot. Duplicate draws of the same race still raise its star level, so a locked slot is the safe way to farm stars without losing what you have.

Tips & Notes

  • Rerolls bought with Robux are stored rather than spent immediately, so buying does not commit you to rolling right away.
  • The Wheel of Luck figures on record are from the Season 1 wheel. The current wheel uses different currency, and no odds for it have been published anywhere.
  • A 22.4% chance of some mythical across a whole season sounds low, but it is 25 times better than the 0.90% you get from a single roll.

FAQ

How many Race Rerolls does the Battle Pass give in Iron Soul: Dungeon?

28 in total: 11 on the free track and 17 on the premium track. That is the largest single published block of rerolls in the game.

Is it better to save Race Rerolls and use them all at once?

It makes no difference to your odds. Each roll is independent, so 20 rolls saved and spent together carry exactly the same chance as 20 spent one at a time.

What happens if I roll while my race slot is locked?

Rolling a different race does nothing and the reroll is consumed, with an on-screen message that the slot is locked and the race was not changed. Rolling the race you already have still adds a star.

Do codes really give Race Rerolls?

Yes. Weekend codes have paid 3 rerolls each and membership milestone codes have paid 10. Codes expire quickly, so check a current list before assuming any specific one still works.
